Video Switcher / Videographer / Camera Operator

Role Summary
Royal Priesthood Pentecostal Church (UK) is seeking a Video Switcher / Videographer / Camera Operator to support livestreaming, service recording and visual media production. This role is ideal for someone who can operate cameras, frame shots well, follow the movement of worship and preaching, and assist with live video switching for online services.
The successful person will help improve the quality of the church’s livestream and recorded media by capturing clear, stable and engaging visuals during worship services, sermons, prayer meetings, conferences and special church events.
Responsibilities
- Operate cameras during worship services, sermons, prayer meetings and special events.
- Capture clean, stable and well-framed shots of pastors, worship leaders, choir, musicians and congregation moments where appropriate.
- Assist with live switching between camera angles during services.
- Support livestream workflows for YouTube, Facebook, Zoom or similar platforms.
- Work with video switchers such as Blackmagic ATEM or similar equipment where available.
- Check camera batteries, memory cards, tripods, cables and camera settings before services.
- Monitor framing, exposure, focus, white balance and basic image quality.
- Follow service flow carefully and anticipate key moments during worship, preaching and prayer.
- Assist with basic video file organisation and handover after services.
- Support occasional editing of short clips, sermon highlights or event footage.
- Work with the sound/media team to improve the quality of the online worship experience.
Requirements
- Experience with cameras, livestreaming, videography, video switching or live event filming.
- Understanding of camera framing, focus, exposure and basic visual composition.
- Familiarity with Blackmagic ATEM, OBS, YouTube Live, Facebook Live, DSLR/mirrorless cameras, camcorders or similar tools is helpful.
- Ability to remain focused during long services and live events.
- Calmness under pressure and ability to follow direction quickly.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Respect for the worship environment and ability to film sensitively.
- Availability for Sundays, evening services and occasional special events.
