Charity Worker

Role Summary
Royal Priesthood Pentecostal Church (UK) is seeking a Charity Worker to support the church’s charitable, outreach and community-focused activities. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, compassionate, reliable and passionate about helping people through practical service, faith-based care and community engagement.
The Charity Worker will support church outreach, welfare initiatives, volunteer coordination, member communication, event preparation, community programmes and administrative tasks connected to the church’s charitable purpose. The post requires good people skills, confidentiality, safeguarding awareness and the ability to work calmly in a busy church environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of outreach, welfare and community support programmes.
- Help coordinate food support, charity drives, community visits, prayer requests and follow-up support.
- Liaise with church members, volunteers, community contacts and members of the public.
- Assist with the preparation of church meetings, reports, minutes, attendance records and outreach documentation.
- Support volunteers and ministry teams during church activities and community events.
- Help organise practical support for families, young people, elderly members and vulnerable individuals.
- Assist with communication, basic admin tasks, email updates and member records where required.
- Promote safeguarding, confidentiality, dignity and respectful treatment of all people.
- Uphold the Christian values and charitable mission of Royal Priesthood Pentecostal Church (UK).
Requirements
- Commitment to Christian values and the charitable mission of the church.
- Experience in charity work, church administration, outreach, volunteering, social support or community engagement.
- Strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with people from different backgrounds with care and respect.
- Basic IT skills, including email, Microsoft Word, Excel or similar tools.
- Understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding and GDPR principles.
- Ability to manage tasks independently and follow instructions from church leadership.
- Willingness to assist during occasional weekend or evening church activities.
