Religious Worker

Role Summary

Royal Priesthood Pentecostal Church (UK) is seeking a committed and spiritually mature Religious Worker to support the pastoral, worship, outreach and discipleship life of the church. This role is suited to someone who is reliable, humble, prayerful, and able to serve under pastoral direction while supporting members of the congregation with care, encouragement and practical ministry assistance.

The Religious Worker will assist with worship services, prayer meetings, Bible studies, pastoral visitation, evangelism, community outreach and the day-to-day spiritual life of the church. The role requires a strong Christian character, good communication skills, discretion, and a willingness to serve both the church family and the wider community.

Responsibilities

• Assist ministers and church leaders during worship services, prayer meetings, Bible studies and special services.
• Support the preparation and delivery of church programmes, discipleship sessions, youth activities and faith-based teaching.
• Help provide pastoral encouragement and practical support to members of the congregation, including young people, families, elderly members and those in need.
• Participate in evangelism, outreach, community engagement and church charity initiatives.
• Assist with church ceremonies and services, including baptisms, dedications, communion services and other religious gatherings.
• Help prepare service materials, prayer lists, communication updates and simple administrative records where required.
• Support volunteers and ministry teams during weekly services and special events.
• Maintain a welcoming, respectful and spiritually nurturing atmosphere within the church.
• Uphold the values, doctrine, safeguarding expectations and ethical standards of Royal Priesthood Pentecostal Church (UK).

Requirements

• Active Christian faith and a clear commitment to the mission and values of the church.
• Experience in church ministry, lay ministry, youth work, pastoral support, outreach or similar faith-based service.
• Good communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive matters with maturity, confidentiality and spiritual care.
• Willingness to work Sundays, evenings and occasional special events.
• Respect for church leadership, safeguarding procedures and community responsibilities.
• Ability to serve with humility, consistency and integrity.
